U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security John F. Kelly’s visit in Saudi Arabia
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia – Secretary of Homeland Security John F. Kelly met with Crown Prince and Minister of Interior Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation to confront emerging and persistent security threats.
Secretary Kelly’s visit and the discussions highlighted the strong ties between the United States and Saudi Arabia, particularly in counterterrorism, information sharing, and cyber security, as well as ongoing efforts to share best practices in maritime, aviation, and border security.
The Secretary was joined on the visit by Homeland Security Advisor to the President Thomas Bossert, Chargé d’Affaires Christopher Henzel and Consul General Matthias Mitman.
