U.S. Consulate Dhahran has received the prestigious 2015 President’s Award for Customer Service for its ongoing outreach work in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

The Consulate team was recognized by the White House for its outstanding work providing consular services across the province. American and local staff members of the consular section overcame significant hurdles to offer on-site services in many distant parts of the country. The team was specifically recognized for support and outreach to hundreds of people building the world’s largest petrochemical facility in Jubail. By setting up visits to academic, corporate, and residential sites, the Dhahran team played a critical role in helping Americans and Saudis living and working across Eastern Province.

Administered through the Federal Customer Service Awards Program, the President’s Award for Customer Service recognizes, promotes, and rewards service excellence, professionalism, and outstanding achievement by federal employees, including teams working on initiatives with a direct impact on customers. The Award also seeks to help agencies identify practices that can be reproduced across the government.
