Payment Methods & Details

We accept USD, SAR, and U.S. credit cards. Our credit card machine is not always available, so we recommend you carry USD or SAR with you to your appointment.

Passport application fees:

  • $165 USD or 627 SAR for Passport Book (only)
  • $195 USD or 741 SAR for Passport Book and Passport Card

Mail-In Passport Renewal

We offer Mail-In Passport Renewal, electronic payment, and mail back services. See if you qualify to renew your passport by mail.

 

In-Person Passport Services 

If you do not qualify to renew your passport by mail, make an appointment to submit a passport application in-person at the Embassy or Consulate:

What to Know About Your Passport Renewal

  • Passport renewals take 3-4 weeks, so plan your travel accordingly.
  • Old passports will be canceled and returned with the newly issued passport.
  • There is not expedited option.
  • We recommend you make copies of your passport and Saudi visa and carry a copy on you while your passport is being renewed, especially if you do not have an iqama.

Security Information

All personal electronic devices including cell phones and laptops are prohibited and are not allowed in the Embassy or Consulate. We strongly recommend that you leave your personal cell phones in your car or a safe place before arriving at the Embassy or Consulate as there is limited ability to store cell phones. Only bags that can be carried by hand will be permitted. Sealed envelopes or packages as well as cigarettes, lighters, sharp objects such as scissors, and weapons or explosive materials of any kind are prohibited. This list is not exhaustive and other items may be prohibited at the discretion of security staff.

Reasonable Accommodation

If you need reasonable accommodation for your appointment, we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately once you schedule your appointment. We make every effort to provide accommodations to persons with disabilities and medical conditions. Reasonable accommodations vary, depending on the situation and the person’s needs.
Examples of accommodations include, but are not limited to:

  • If you require a private appointment due to a medical condition or disability, we may schedule an alternative time for you to come in for your interview.
  • If you or your child has special needs that requires a private appointment in a quiet space without distractions, we may schedule an alternative time for you or your family to come in for your interview.
  • If you are unable to speak, you may be allowed to respond to questions in an agreed-upon nonverbal manner such as using pen and paper.
  • If you are deaf or hard of hearing, you may bring a sign language interpreter to translate during the interview if needed.
  • If you have low vision, we may provide you with communications in large print.

If you are unable to provide fingerprints because of a medical condition, including birth defects, physical deformities, skin conditions, you may qualify for a fingerprint waiver for certain fingers.

  • Interview waivers are only granted in extreme situations, such as having a medical condition that requires flying in an air ambulance.
