Message for Visa Applicants: U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia Resumes Limited Visa Appointments in all Categories
3 MINUTE READ
March 1, 2021

The U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce the re-opening of routine nonimmigrant visa services in limited numbers in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran.  Travelers can schedule appointments for the range of visa categories on-line.  Due to COVID-19 prevention measures and staffing, visa appointments are extremely limited and subject to change.  We ask visa applicants to schedule appointments only when they have made tentative travel plans.

Our consular sections will continue to prioritize American citizen services, immigrant visas, students, and emergency nonimmigrant visas.

A number of COVID-19 prevention measures are in effect at the Embassy and Consulates General.  Masks must be worn and cover both the nose and mouth.  Social distancing is strictly enforced, and visa appointments are timed to ensure appropriate social distancing.  Frequent hand-washing or use of hand sanitizer is encouraged.  If you are sick on the day of your interview or have had recent contact with an individual with COVID-19, email support-saudiarabia@ustraveldocs.com immediately to notify and reschedule your appointment.  Any individual who violates the above policies may be refused service.

We understand that many nonimmigrant visa applicants paid a visa application fee (known as the MRV fee) and are still waiting to schedule a visa interview. The U.S. Mission will extend the validity of this MRV fee until September 30, 2022, to allow all applicants who were unable to schedule an appointment as a result of the suspension of routine visa services an opportunity to schedule an appointment with the already paid fee.

Please check your email prior to your scheduled appointment, for any changes to the date or time.
